Big Game Preserve Near Shelby.

Crcwn Point Star: John Brown informed us on Tuesday that he had consumated the deal with the Chicago sporting club men, whereby they come into control of over 10,000 acres of marsh land on the Kankakee, owned by himself and brother Barringer and about 3,000 acres which they hold by lease. The deal has been on tap for several weeks past and Mr. Brown finally closed it up the first of the week. The Chicago club is composed of several score of the wealth iest men of Chicago, among them being Mayor Harrison, Hempstead Washburn, 0. S. Dennis and Rollo Organ. It is understood they will at once commence the erection of a fine club house on the east end of Ridge Island, and Neil Brown is authority for the statement that golf grounds will also be made. It will be run something on the order of the Tolleston club.
