A Fair Building Season in Prospect.

From present indications the coming building season promises to show quite an encouraging activity in Rensselaer. Several good residences are already assured and others are being talked of, some of which will be sure to materialize. J- H. Chapman and Mrs. Candace Loughridge will jointly build a fine residence on the siteof the old Dr, Loughridge residence on Van Rensselaer street. Dr. Berkley Has got his mind fix6d on a fine new house on' his lot on McCoy Avenue. And when he gets his cage ready there is little doubt in most peoples’ minds as to where he expects to find his bird. Monroe Banes, the carpenter,- is another party who may be counted on as almost certain to build a residence for himself during the year, if he is not kept too busy building for other people. In the way of business buildings, the movement is already under way, in two instances. One an agricultural implement and vehicle store, and undertaker’s office, combined ; and another a large feed and hitch barn. Still another large implement and vehicle store will be e.ected at an early date. It is also more than probable that the Odd Fellows will put up their other fine block this year; and Uncle John Makeever will disappoint a good many people if an--1 other year slips by before he puts up his big brick block east ofthe Makeever House
