Narrow Tire Law No Good.
The Appellate Court, in a case from White county, has just made a decision which practically readers worthless the law against hauling heavy loads over gravel roads on narrow tired wagons, when the roads are soft. The law is too indefinite. The court says: Acts 1889, Page 378 which makes it a misdemeanor to haul a load of more than 2,000 pounds on a narrow tired wagon over a turnpike or gravel road, when it is in a condition to be cut and injured by heavy hauling, is too iridefihite concerning the wiath of tire referred to as a narrow tire, for this court to say that an affidavit charging such hauling on- a wagon having tires two inches wide charged a criminal offense. This oburt can not say as a matter of law that a tire two inches wide is certainly either a narrow tire or a broad tire.
