Laws Boyd is on the sick list. Harrv Gifford was in Chicago buying horses last week. Earl Newland was in Rensselaer Sunday on business. John Kimble has the material on > the ground for a new drug store at Gifford. Taylor Hawkins returned Saturday from his visit to friends in Tennessee he says they eave had scarcely any cold weather there so far this winter. Teams were in the fields plowing when he lefjt there. Germaine & Otneara will go to Chicago this week to paint a house for B. J. Gifford out near Hyde Park. It will take about three weeks to complete the job. Miss Maggie Callahan is yisiting Mrs. T. Watson near Pleasant Grove a few days this week. Mrs. John Riehmond is danger, ously ill.
