Wants a Receiver for the ‘‘Three I.” R. R.

Frank P. Hawkins of Highland, Park, 111., has filed a petition in the Starke County Circuit Court for the appointment of a reoeiver for the Illinois, Indiana and lowa Railway. The petition recites that Mr. Hawkins graded the old Plymouth, Kankakee and Pacific Railroad in Indiana in 1875 and received bonds in payment. The bonds were not all paid, and he sues for payment with interest and earnings aggregating $200,000. He claims that the present “Three I,” railroad is practically the same as the old Plymouth, Kankakee and Pacific Railroad, and that the new cumpany 'is legally responsible for the debt alleged to be due him fpr construction work. The attorneys for the railroad have filed application l for a change of vehue from the judge of the Starke County Court, and Judge Howard, formerly of the supreme bench, will hear the motion.
