Several Odd Fellows from here attended Iqdge at Mt. Ajr last Saturday night. I Dr. Proudly has returned from Chicago where he spent the holidays with his family. Miss Maud Fry was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Harrington, at Virgie a few days this week. Miss Ethel Perkins, of Rensselaer, was the guest of Miss Bruce and other friends Wednesday of last week. i Mrs. Gundy spent last week with her parents at K"iman. Zern Wright, Frank Kelley, Bob , White and Ernest Clark, of Rensselaer, were the guests of friends in town over Sunday. Sam Thornton and wife, of near Rensselaer, were the guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Moffitt, over Sunday. A number of ladies from here attended the Installation of officers of the Rebeccah Lodge at Water Valley last Friday night. The ladies of the Christian church realized about S2O net from their oyster and general supper on Xma night. This sum will be applied on the church debt. Mrs. Cottingham and Mrs. Ritchey returned home Sunday from Brookston, where they went to attend their father’s funeral, Andrew J, Nelson, Professors Huff and l Henderson will give a grand Graphophone Concert at the M. E. Church this next Friday evening, Jan. 11th, at 8 o’clock The machine used at this exhibition has just been purchased in Chicago and is one of the largest, best and latest improved. The records used, 24 in number, were selected ffom the best and latest out. Go and enjov the evenings entertainment of an hour and a half. Admission 10 cents to all. C. B. Steward, of Rensselaer, was in town Tuesday on business.
