Belief Corps Installation.

Womens Relief Corps No. 39 G. A. R. Department of Indiana, installed their officers for the coming year at their hall in Odd Fellows building on the evening of Jan. 7th, 1901, as given below: Mrs. Blue, acting as installing officer, the. hall was beautifully decorated with the National colors and carnations. The stations of Mrs. Viola Thornton out going president and Mrs. Elizabeth Powers incoming president, and Mrs. Belle Blue installing officer were especially decorated with carnations. The refreshments were immense consisting of turkey, chicken, five different kind of cake, coffee, olives etc. to which the invited guests and members to the number of fully one hundred and fifty, these sat down and did ample justice thereto after which Comrade Miller entertained the audience with a fine “chalk talk” followed with music and dancing which continued until about 11 o’clock, when the assembly dispersed to their several homes.
