THURSDAY. Miss Helen Tuteur returned last evening from a week’s visit with relatives at Lafayette Mrs. E. Wren and son C. Wren of Union Mills, Ind., are the guests of Louis Richardson. Mrs. G. W. Goff is spending a week with relatives at Crown Point and Hebron. C. C. Siarr has a big force putting up ice. It is from 6 to 7 inches thick and a fine quality. W. E. Jacks’ little girl is still doing as well from her terrible
burns as could be expected. Mrs. Verlie Morris arrived home today from an extended visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bentley Beoughter at Flagler lowa. Miss Leathe Ott, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. F,, Elliott, for a week returnee]. '

Frank Sayler arrived home last evening from Chatsworth, 111. where he spent the holidays’ with friends. Miss Clifford Moody left this morning for Mt. Vernon, where she will enter the Cornell University.
Mrs. Henry Zoll of Hammond returned home last evening after a week’s visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Hemphill. G. A. Borntrager, south of town arrived home last evening from Louisville, Ky. where he spent the holidays with relatives Misses Sarah and Flora Smith of Chicago, who were here to attend the w edding of their sister, Miss Zettie Smith, returned home last evening. Miss Katie Collins, north of town, left yesterday after noon for Indianapolis, where she will take a three months’ course in music. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Vanatta returned home to Marion j esterday, after a week’s visit with his parents,‘Mr. and Mrs. J. R- Vanatta.
Mrs. O. B. Wolf of Forest, Ind. who has -been the guest during holidays of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Trussel, north of town, returned home yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Simon Leopold and daughter of Kentland, who were 'here to attend the wedding of Miss Zettie Smith and Vernon Nowels, returnhome yesterday. Arthur Kresler, Wallace Parkison and Miss Floy Nowels left yesterday afternoon to resume their studies at their respective colleges. Mrs.’Jessie Ha Ice and nephew Paul McCurdy, of Peru who were the guests of her sister Mrs. George Sharp, returned, home yesterday afternoon.
Miss Edith Shedd returned to the Northwestern University at Evanston, today, after spending her vacation with her parents, east of town. B. M. Donnelly has arrived from Monticello and is preparing to take’charge of the Pavilion gallery, recently purchased of C. W. Stoneback.
Mrs. J. R. Wilcox arrived home from a] month’s visit with her daughter, Mrs. Ora Branch and family at Danville, Ind. She brought’with her, her little granddaughter Beatrice, who will remain for a protracted visit. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Nowels, the newly bridal couple arrived home last evening from a short trip to Indianapolis and are now occupying their neW home on Front Street. Elsie Bradly a strong society drama was presented at the Opera House last evening by the Riley-
Burton Stock Company and drew a very good house. The drama was well staged and presented in a very creditable manner. Tne phonograph portion of the entertainment was also enjoyed by those present. Tonight they give Dqmas’ “Monte Cristo.”
