Mrs. Mary Marlatt Barber the recent bride, left today for Chatr - paign, 111., to join her husband, who preceded her there a few days ago. They will reside on a farm near Champaign; Remember the racing at the stock farm, Christmas day, at 2:30, between the Glazebrook, Smith, ■o Duvall and other horses. Joe Jackson’s bus will make frequent trips. Our friend the Reformer, who gave it out’straight that he would spend the last dollar of that $l5O in law before he would accept the $75 the commissioners allowed him for the election ballots, walked into the auditor’s office, this morning and took his little warrant like'a little'man, and never raised a peep A young man and an . older one went into the clerk’s offioe -this morning, and seeing another young -man there going through the or - deal of procuring a marriage lic-_, ense, the young man turned and fled. The old man explained that they were after a license, also, but that he guessed the young man was scared out. He hadn’t showed up again when we went to press. What “Old Man Jones” will do to “Old Man Hoyt*’ one of these times, when he is feeling right fat and don’t have to bowl with his back against a brick wall, was shown Saturday evening, at the bowling alley. Uncle Bill N. bowled the seven straight games then, and made a total score of 1393 pins. This was 233 more than he made at Hammond, Wednesday night and 94 more than his opponent, E. M. Hoyt made at taat time. We think Uncle Bill will fix Uncle Hoyt good and plenty, one of these times.
