K. of P. District Convention.

The local K. of P. lodge is making preparations for sending a good representation to the distriot meeting which will be at Valparaiso next Wednesday Doc. 12th. All the grand state offioers will be present. The counties represented in this district are Porter, Lake, Jasper and Newton. The afternoon will bo devoted to the transaction of business. In the evening several candidates will be initated, the work being done by Hammond and Whiting degree teams. A banquet will follow. About two hundred delegates are expected to attend.
