The New Gymnasium,
The formal opening of the new gymnasium at the Presbyterian church will be held next Saturday evening. The exercises will consist of an address by Phil Bevis of Lafayette, secretary of the Lafayette Y. M. C. A., music, songs etc. The members of the gymnasium are divided into two classes Juniors and Seniors. Boys under 15 belong to the Juniors and their membership fees are $1 per year They have the use of ths gym Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 to 5 p. m. and Saturdays from 3 to 5:30 p. m. The Seniors have it Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to fi p m. Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 to 8 p. m. and Saturdays Seniors are over 15 and their fee for membership is $2 per year. The membership is now about 32 and will be largely increased. It is not confined to members of the Presbyterian church and Sunday School, but each family therein represented has the privilege of invitiDg one other boy to become a member. Arrangements are also under way to have a girls’ class slbo, and to set aside certain hoars for their use. Fine, fresh cellery and lettuoe at the New Cash Grocery opposite the oourt house.
