Two Funerals Saturday.
Two funerals were held in the vioinity of Rensselaer last Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Rebecca J. Lowman, wife of George Lowman, died Friday, Dec. 7th. 1900, at the residence of William Lowman, a few miles northeast of town. The cause of her death was consumption. Her age was 34 years and 7 months. She was a native of this county, and a daughter of the late W. H. or .-Yankee Niohols. She has recently been living in Tennessee, and returned from that state with her husband, afe v weeks ago. was held in the afternoon at one o'clock, and interment made in Smith cemetery, in Barkley tp. Thomas Kennedy, an old resident of this county, died Thursday, Dec. 6th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles H. Mustard, in Jordan tp. He died from uremic poisoning, resulting from a complication of diseases. His age was about 71 years. He leaves a wife, 2 sons and 2 daughters. He has lived in the vicinity of Rensselaer for many years, and also in Rensselaer itself, where he owned a residence, for some time. The funeral was held at Mr. Mustard’s residence in the afternoon, at one o’clock p. m. by Rev. Clarence D. Royse, of Rensselaer.
