Bowie’s Own Daughter a Victim of Dowieism.
I Chicago Post. Death has entered the household of John Alexander Dowie as a result of the faith healer’s teaching against the use of medicine. His daughter, Mrs. Samuel Stevenson, wife of the “deacon"’ who came to Chicago last summer from England, where he - was a lace-maker to help the head of Zion introduce the industry in his La'ke oonnty city, passed away while crossing the ocean. |drs. Stevenson had gone to England with her husband, and last week left her father there and started on the return voyage. She was taken with pneumonia on shipboard; but medical attendance was not given her and she died. She was buried at sea. Her husband has arrived in New York and is on his way to Chicago. Deacon.
