Bad Blood In Union Township.
Certain parties in Union township have got it in for Trustee B, D. Comer, and seem to be ready to resort any kind of malicious meanness to wreck their spite against him. Last Saturday, for instance, he and his hired man brought wood to town. Mr. Comer left for home first, after receiving the oiey for the wood. The hired man was then plied with free liquor by certain parties, keeping him till late at night and getting him helplessly drunk His team and wagon were left tied near Cox's wood yard. Some of the gang went and cut the tugs nearly in two, and then untied the team jand started them off without a driver.
In the meantime Mr. Comer had got uneasy and started for town to look for his team. He met them still without a driver near Burk’s corners. They were spirited horses, and it is strange they did not run away in which case they might not only have damaged themselves and the wagon, but perhaps have run over other people, on their road home from town, of which there are always many, especially on Saturday nights. Mr, Comer knows who some of the parties are, and knows that one of them has threatened his life and property.
