The sheep and wool growers of the West arc virtually solid for McKinley. They have not forgotten the free wool tariff of 1804. As one Wyoming wool grower recently remarked: “The Democrats promised free wool in 1892, and came within (j cents of it. Then you could but*a sheep for 23 cents, and it wasn’t worth that much unless it was fat enough to kill. No; we don’t want any more ti cent wool and 25 cent sheep.”
