REMEMBER That on the Ist of June, 1900, the question to submit iconstltntlunal amendment giving Congress power to regulate, prohibit and dissolve trusts. The Democrats defeated this question. The vote in favor or submitting the amendment stood: Ayes—Republicans, 140; Democrats, 5. Nays--Democrats, 180, Itepubl caps, 2. The necessary two-thirds majority was not there. The Democrats defeated it. Remember that.
