A Sensational Suit.
The Women’s Relief Corps Wants to Enjoin the (f. A. R. Ladies. The warfare between the two patriotic women’s orders, the Women’s Relief Corps and the Ladies of the G. A. R., has taken a fresh start. Several months ago, as was mentioned at the time, the county commissioners issued an order, amendatory of a previous order, in which last order the use of the Memorial Hall, in (the court house, was to bo confined ‘‘exclusively” to the G. A. R. itself. The Women's Relief Corps, however, has continued to use the room, as beforehand last Thursday the officials of Milroy Circle Ladies of G. A. R., headed by several officers and members of the G. A. R., marched over and entered. the room, hanging their charter on the wall, and taking joi n possession, for meeting purposes. As a result of this action the Relief Corps, has filed a suit in the circuit court against Milroy Circle No. 3, Ladies of the G. A. R. and James A. Burnham, J C. Porter, David H. Yeoman, Henry Grow, J. M. Wasson and A. J. Abbott, of the G. A. R. The complaint recites that the carpets and other furniture in the room belongs to the corps. They therefore ask that the court enjoin the Circle from using the room, and also enjoin the six G. A. R. men mentioned, from interfering in the matter. The complaint is quite a lengthy document and gives the history of the troubles, before and since the organization of Milroy Circle, at considerable length. Besides the injunction damages of #SO are also asked for.
