Another Exploded Theory.
The fallacy of Bryanism is well Illustrated In tiie fact that colleges and universities in every section of the country are experiencing the greatest prosperity known In years. This is particularly true in Indiana. Four years ago, on tiie 17th da.v of September, at Charlotte. N. C„ Mr. Bryan said: “If you could see how parents have planned for the higher education of their children, but who have been compelled to keep tiie children at home in order to keep tiie wolf from the door, you would understand what the gold standard means.” But since under the gold standard tiie institutions of learning are crowded ns never before, it would seem that the parents, without tiie aid of the children, are finding less difficulty in keeping the wolf from the door. History explodes all of Bryan’s theories. * e
