Lucky Cattle.
In the Darling Range District of Western Australia, which runs parallel to the west coast at a distance of froffia ten to twenty-five miles inland, cattle are taken for a few weeks’ change of air to the seaside. It is customary every year for the keepers of stock in* that district to send their 'cattle for afew weeks’ change of air to the run»immediately bordering on the coast. The stay of the cattle on the new grazing grounds is usually for about six weeks or a couple of months. The saline-impregnated herbage, which i» of very coarse fiber, is a marvelous tonic, and the Darling Range herds are the sleekest and fattest cattle in that part of the world. Korean paper is so strong and dense that it can be used to cover umbrella*.
