The Tooms All Getting Sick.
The Silas Tooms family, in the small-pox district, are coming down with the same disease about as fast as they can get around to it. In fact there is only one well one now in the house, the head of family, Silas Tooms Sr. The two latest to come down are Silas ’looms Jr. and the 2 old baby Harry Atinnick. Silas is pretty sick, but the little fellow seems likely to have it very easy. The elder Airs. Tooms, whose condition was very dangerous, is now considerably improved, and strong hopes for her recovery are entertained. She had other complications, as before stated, especally severe stomach troubles. The 15 year 014 wife of the younger Silas is also pretty sick, as there are complications in her case also.
It is to be hoped that there will be no further spread of the disease, but there is danger of it unless the people around that region get vaccinated at once. The neighbors must also learn to be more careful about going where the disease is, or where people are who have been exposed. Thus we hear of a neighboring family who visited at Silas Tooms’ house the very day some of them were getting sick.
