Saw the Great Hanna.
Senator Marcus A. Hanna, of Ohio, chairman of the National Republican committee, and the ablest political organizer of the age, went through town on the 1:45 train last Saturday afternoon, as expected. A big crowd was at the depot hoping to catch a sight of the celebrated citizen. He was in the last car, eating his dinner, .ut the crowd “hollerpcl” for him, and Tom McCoy slipped into the car and steere i him out on the rear platform; he had only time to take off hi 3 hat and bow his acknowledgement of the cheers, when the train pulled out He is a very large and very fine looking man, with a big head and every appearance of great ability. In looks he fully bears out Congress man Landis’ description of a clean and honorable gentleman He is also a mighty genial and amiable one too, unless his looks belie his disposition.
