Old Settlers’ Meeting.

The Old Settlers’ Meeting program committee are hard at work, and making good progress in securing speakers. The committee sent invitations to all known candidates for state, district and county offices, of all parties, to attend, and make speeches, but none on politics. The state candidates are all pleading previous appointments, but most of the district and county candidates will be present. The committee report the following persons as having agreed to speak on the subjects named. Col. E. P. Hammond, —Jasper’s part in the,Rebellion. John D. Sink, —Future of Kankakee Valley. Lucius Strong,—Changes in Jasper since 1857. E. H. Wolcott, —The Pioneer. A. G. W. Fdrmer, South America. David Culp—My Boyhood days. The Directors meet again at County Clerk’s office next Saturday at 1 o’clock.
