Grand Opening At Ellis Opera House Monday, Aug. 20.

Manager J. H. 8. Ellis is to be credited for securing for his opening attraction for the season such a company as “McCarthy’s Mishaps.’’ The company is positively one of the best Irish comedies on the road. A sufficient guarantee to our statement is that the company is headed by such a star K as Barney Ferguson, whose talent as a oomedian lias been recognized all over the country and England. The company consists of 16 people, making the attraction a very pleasing one. Outside the comedy which is a continuous laughter from start to finish, verv best of singing and dancing will be introduced. We wish Mr. Ellis the very best of success for this coming season, and we are safe in predicting that the theatre goers of Rensselaer will pack the opera | house opening night.
