Gillam’s Greatest Gusher.
Regarding the wonderful new oil well, heretofore mentioned as being struck last Monday, in the Gillam oil field, the Medaryville Advertiser says: Capt. Snider, of Montioello again comes to the front this week and this time with a "gusher” that is said to put everything so, far struck, the big well near the new church not excepted, in the shade. The Byrd Syndicate men, who are putting down these wellß for Mr. Snider. After having finished a sesond well that proved but a moderate producer, commenced a third well on his eleven acres in section 33, and reaching a depth of 130 ft., struck a pocket and amidst considerable noise the oil was Jforoed from the pipe and tnirty feet in the air, submerging everything for many feet around with oil before the pipe could be capped and the flowing stopped. It is thonght that this will prove a 300 barrel a day well, at least.
