The County Commissioners.

The commissioners adjourned Thursday, to meet aga|n next Monday, to take action on the Gillam township gravel road matter. The heretofore much discussed question of the admission to the use of G. A. R. hall, in the court house, by Milroy Circle Ladies of 4he G- A. R. came up for action, Thursday. The matter was heard at considerable length, at the July term, the Women’s Relief Corps, the older affiliated order, opposing the request to admit the G. A. R Ladies. The commissioners then decided, only verbally however to leave the matter to the official actiou of Rensselaer Post G. A R. That body, by a vote of 3sJor to It) against, voted in favor of the Circle being admitted to the use of the room, on equal termß with the Post itself and the Relief Corps. The record of this .action was presented to the Commissioners. The latter concluded, however, to modifiy their original order, as to the room, not so as to admit both the Relief Corps and the Ladies of the G. A. R. bat rather to exclude them both. The new order as it now reads, sets aside the room for the exclusive use of the Post. This order, if literally construed and strictly enforced, will require the Relief Corps to find another place for their meetings.
