The County Commissioners.

Saloon licenses were granted to Geo. A Strickfaden, of Rensselaer and John G. Moritz, of Wheatfield. Bids Vere received for a bridge in Walker tp. Bids both for steel and wood were advertised fur T. J. Burk & Son, of New Castle, offered a steel bridge, for $845, and John Hack, of Lowell, offered a wooden bridge for $349. The contract was let to T. J. Burk, & Son of New Castle. For groceries for poor farm for ensuing quarter, as per specifications, John Eger’s bid was $61.45, Tuteur’s $61.70; B. Forsythe’s, $6499. For hardware for poor farm, ensuing quarter, Warner’s Bros. | bid was $14.05. B. Forsythe’s ! $13.75. j On a road formerly petitioned • for by Delos Thompson, to pass j through the J. W. Cowden farm, just east of Rensselaer, the viewers’ reported unfavorably and the petition was dismissed. Chris Schultz and others petition for road in Union tp. F. M. Parker, H. Grow, J. W. Cowden, appointed viewers. Viewers to meet Aug. 20. S. P. Thompson and others, for ditch in Union tp. Viewers. E. D. Rhoades, J. W. Duvall and C. Dean, viewers, to meet Aug. 13th.
