Ninth Regiment Re-union.
The 14th annual re union of the Ninth Indiana Veteran Infantry assooiatiou will h§ held at Hobart on August 27th. Col. Snman, of V alparaiso, is president of the association. The forenoon of the 27 % th, will be given up to the reception of the visitors who will be met by a committee. The afternoon will be tafeeu up with business, which is t 6 inelade the election of officers and naming. the next place of meeting. Iu the evening will be held the campfire, and Attorney Joe Conroy, of Hobart, will deliver the address of weloome. The history of the military prowess of “the Bloody Ninth,” as the organization was familiarly known, em braces Wept Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas, Gen- R. H. Milroy was the first colonel of the regiment; One company was raised in this county.
