Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 21, Number 92, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 7 August 1900 — The Trouble is Adjusted. [ARTICLE]
The Trouble is Adjusted.
The “mutual explanations” which The Republican expressed a wish for, in its account of the Wallick-Smith Boxer outbreak, have already been made and peace j now reigns supreme. There 'was really no cause for trouble between the two men which a little frank and kindly talk would not have adjusted To fight first and explain afterwards however is the way of*many rash men, but it is not the best way, by any means. The trouble grew out of a complicated land and goods frade of some kind, which the two men have been interested in.'
