Burgess Dillon, of Rensselaer, was in town over Sunday. Walter Cottingham is cooking for the saw mill boys. Miss Ethel Arnold has returned home from a several weeks’ visit to her sister, Mrs. Chas. Holly, at Beaver City. Mrs. Dr. Hinkins and children, of Chicago, are visiting Mr. and Mrs, Peter Zea. Mr. and Mrs. Newton Waterman, of Goodland, spent several days last week with her sister, Mrs. N. Littlefield. They, returned home Thursday, accompanied by her sister, Miss Mae Erwin, for a week’s visit. Joe Burns has gone to Lafayette to work for A. Moore, foreman of the Monon Yards at that place. Mrs. Joe Kight, of Rensselaer, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gundy and other relatives a couple of days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Smith and his brother, Frank Smith, of Elwood, Ind., were the guests of their sister Mrs. N. A. McKay, several days’ last week. Night Operator Zimmerman has duty after a ten days’ vacation. Chas. Weaver, of Lafayette, filled his place during his absence. Mr. and Mrs. True Cullum, of Indianapolie, returned home Monday, after a ten days’ visit to her mother, Mrs. John Casey and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Cullum will leave this week for Huntsville, Tenn., where they will make their future home. Mrs. Morgan and little daughter, of Star City, Pulaski County, are making a months’ visit to her parents, Thos, Fry and wife and other rejatives. Simon Dobbins, ex-Sheriff of White county, will deliver his famous lecture “From the Cradle to the Jail,” at the M. E. church next Saturday evening July 28. Go and hear him. Admission 10 and 15 cents. ,
