» • Was Nomina* ed on the Seventh Ballot. . .... _ - _:jX -v — Col. Winfield T. Durbin, of Anderson, was nominated for Governor Thursday afternoon on the saventh ballot. The exact figures by which he was nominated we could not secure when we went to press. Haggard withdrew after the fourth ballot. Hogate after the fifth, and Posey and Dodge after the sixth leaving ouly Durbin and Giffiths for the seventh. Durbin’s vote on the 6tli was 700. Griffiths 537 J. There are 1434 delegates in the convention. Grant county which gave its 34 votes half and half on the 6th, gave them all to Durbin on the 7th, thus clinching his nomination.
