A paragraph published in various daily papers a few days ago says: Forty thousand acres of leased laud Tor oil purposes ,in Jasper county, which were secured several months ago by Frank G. Conklin and Dudley M. Shively, of South Bend, and W. J. Heeter and Carl McFadden, of Geneva, Ind., hailte jnst been sold to the Bird syndicate of England, for $157,000.
