The Union Township Convention.
The Union Township Republicans had a rousing big convention at Fair Oaks, last Saturday afternoon, at which a fall township ticket was nominated. One hunpred and fifty-eight voters were present arid took part in the proceedings^ The interest centered in the nomination for trustee. Only one ballot was taken, resulting in the re-nomination of Barney 1). Comer the present incumbent. The following was the ballot. B. D. Comer 111 G. B. Davidson 28 W. D. Nelson For Assessor, J. R. Mallat was nominated, be receiving 75 votes to Geo. Hurley 58. The balance of the ticket is as follows: Advisory board, Geo. B. Davidson, W- D. Nelson, Joseph Williams. Supervisors, J. C.
