A Young Girl’s Sail Death.
Ida L. Tiikington, the young girl whose supposed fatal sickuess was mentioned in Frjday’s issue, died that day, in her parent’s moving wagon, at theif camping place, near the Catholic cemetery, south of town, Her age was 12 years, 10 months and 22 days. The girl made and sold fancy needlework, and was in town Thursday, and had her picture taken, and was as well as ever. She was taken sick during the ua’ght, butseemingly ppt seriously, but in the morning her parents found her speechless, aud in a dying condition. The cause of her death was pneumonia. Her parent’s names are Edward and Ada Tiikington, and Ida was their only child. They formerly resided at Danville, Ill;, and expect to return there. They passed the winter with relatives at Lafayette, The remains were buried on Saturday forenoon April 14, at Weston cemetery, brief religious services being held at the grave, by Rev. H. M. Middleton. Owing to very few people having heard of the death, there were not many to show the unfortunate parents kindness, in this time of trouble.' Mr. and Mrs. Dick Woods being about the only ones to interest themselves in their behalf. Their kindness to these ©total strangers was very generous and deserving of corresponding credit.
