The Porto Rica Bill a Law.
The Porto Rico bill, as amended by the Senate, passed the House yesterday by a vote of 161 to 153. It bad the strong endorsement of the president and the cabinet, and reoeived practically the solid Republican vote in the House; and the President will sign it, today. Seven chronic kickers voted against it. The bill is a good statesmanlike and patriotic measure. It will give immediate relief and lasting benefit to Porto Rico, and work no hardship nor injustice to anyone. Time will soon indicate the wisdom of the bill and the unwisdom of those alleged Republicans who voted against it, just as it already has in those other two cases in ■which Mr. Crum packer voting against his practically united parly, namely the annexation of Hawaii and the exclusion of the polygamist.

Bargains in Buggies and Carriages.
Having bought tny line of buggies and carriages by the car load, it enables me to undersell the dealers that buy one or two at a time. By buying in car lots. I make a saving of $5 to $8 on the job, which is by the way a fair profit. Now if you have an eye to business, you will look around and see where you can buy the cheapest. Don’t pay a great big profit on a buggy when you can buy of me at about what most of dealers pay for theirs. Remember these are no old style jobs but up-to-date, 1900 styles. Take nobody’s word but come and see me before you buy. If you have anything to sell or trade call and see me. I bny anything in the horse line, old wagons, harness, bicycles,' in fact almost everything worth the money. 1 also sell the Plano binder and mower, the best machine on earth, without a doubt. I have a sample machine at my place of business west of the court house, next door to Carmichael’s harness shop. Call and see me and I will surely treat you right. D. M. Worland & Co.
