Mustn’t Sell to Soaks.

Tuesday afternoon City Marshal McGowan served notice on all the saloons in town not to sell any more intoxicating liquor to Alfred Anderson and Jim Wood. The latter lives some place southeast of town. The law is very strict in regard to selling liquor to persons for whom notices of this kind are given. The least penalty is a fine of SSO, and it may be a good deal more, and even imprisonment. And right along on this line is a chance for our anti-saloon league to do some very practical and efficient temperance work. Let them take measures to have the saloons notified not to sell to habitual drunkards, in every such case that is developed.
