Election is May 1st.

It has been the general impression in both the Democratic and Republican parties that the city election occurred on Tuesday, Maj Bth, that date being the first Tuesday in May after the first Monday. City elections, however, are always held on the first Tuesday in May and this year it falls on May Ist. The fall elections are ‘held the first Tuesday after h e first Monday.
