Gaylord Chilcote Makes a Change.

Oapt. M. F. Chileote has received word from his sou, Gaylord H. of Los Angeles, California , that he has resigned his position in the schools of Los Angeles, to engage in a different occupation. He travels over the whole of California, in the interests of D. C. Heath & Co., senool book publishers of San Francisco. He will travel for them 7 months each year and attend the University of California the other five. Gaylord has had excellent sucesa in school work in Los Angeles, and when he quit was priuoipal of a school with 700 pupils. He had got as high as he could in that work in that state, however, until he graduated from some big college, so he has adopted the plan above mentioned, and when ho completes his college course will return to school work-, and as The Republican predicts soou be at “the top of the heap.” He attended Michigan University several years, and ten months attendance at California is all he will require to graduate. His family remains at Los An geles.
