Other Proceedingx of the Lafayette Convention. At the re-assembled session of the tenth district Republican convention and Republican “Love Feast” at Lafayette Thursday our townsman W. B. Austin, received the honor of being chosen an alternate delegate to the Republican national convention. District Chairman, T J. McCoy of Rensselaer, called the meeting to order and introduced Congressman Cruiupacker, the permanent chairfhan, who made an extended speech. l'lie delegates chosen to the national convention, are Geo. R. Haywood, of Tippecanoe and A. Murray Turner, of Lake. The alternates are VV. B. Austin, of Jasper and Warren MoCrea, of Newton. Hon. Ele Stansbury, of Warren is presidential elector, and Lee G. Howell, of Porter, contingent or alternate elector.
