Going to North Dakota.
R. Sykes, of Sykeston, North Dakota, D. Dekker, of Edgerly, same state, and M. M. Tyler, • f Star City, Ind. were in town Wednesday. The two last were former well known residentsof Keener tp. this county. Mr. Sykes is a large owner of and dealer in North Dakota lands and lie and the others with him, are getting up a party to go out there in a short tin e. The party will leave April 4th, and already 20 to 25 have arranged to go from DeMotte and vicinity aud as many more from Star City. Mr. Sykes came from England, originally, and still goes back there foi a few months, every winter. He is now on his way to Dakota from his old English home now. He left Liverpool, Thursday, March, Bth, and just one week later was in Logansport Ind. The trip across the water took only 5 days and 22 hours.
