Lieut. Orr Was a Fraud.

The man in soldier clothes who was here several days last week and gave what he advertised as a lecture, at the opera house, Saturday evening, was either a fraud or a crack-brain, of some kind, perhaps a little of both. His lecture was merely a disconnected .ramble and told in very illiterate language and some of it, especially where ihe inveighed against the small \ attendance and declared he would ! hnve the pensions of soldiers cut off who attended what he called the “monopoly meeting” at the court house the same evening, could scarcely have come, from p sane mind. He claimed that he did Dot want any money, that all his expenses were paid by some authority or other, but all the same he skipped out of town as eouri as the lecture was over, and loft several days’ beard bill at the hotel unpaid. He left his overcoat there, but it was old and worthless.
