Week of Prayer.

A call has been issued by the board of bishops of the Methodist church appointing a week of fasting and prayer, which is to begin March 25th. The decision to issue the call was influenced by the decrease of 22,000 in the membership of the church in the last year. The call a ssigns several reasons for the decline. It says the church is standing aloof from the solution of labor troubles; that the masses are being neglected; that there are no more old fashioned camp meetings that there are too many amusements, too much Christian Science and too much higher criticism. The week of prayer will be observed by the M. E. church in this city, we understand.
