The River Going Down.

The river continued very higl* all day Sunday, and with considerable danger of the ice from above coming down and increasing the gorge below the creamery bridge, in which event Kelley’s laundry building might have “been in ft pretty bad boat,” or have transformed into a pretty bad boat, one or the other. But the ice above ! held fast, and now owing to the cold night and moving of the ice , befotv the bridge, the water has i gone4pwn greatly, and the danger ’Ts probably over for good. The | laundry engine r./om is now appearing above the ;surfaoe, and work will be resumed there, Tuesday.
