Mrs Mary Greenfie'd has oecome a resident of Parr, Jim Babcock is still looking after the fat hogs. The last storm was hard on stock, and resulted in some loss, especially of some lambs. We are glad to see so much interest taken in the sheep industry. Wools 27 cents and lambs 3to 5 •dollars,Protection is all right. Steve Comer has a room fitted up in his barn and a stove in it and we j are told that he sleeps there to watch his sheep these cold stormy nights. He savs he feels better any how under sheep protection. Leon W. Benbow, the Rose Bud teacher moved from the D. B Nowels farm to Parr the first of March. Emery Garriott has moved from the Thompson ranch to the Jacob Wilcox farm.
Garriott & Gant, the grocers are having a good trade this winter. The Blind Tiger is closed. We are told it will be opened up again in the spring. We think that society should be protected againsf“such unlawful proceedure. especially there is as much evidence availableas there is in this case. Cecil Alter is finishing out the term of school at Center school house which was vacated by Vick Bringle. Wonder where Vick has gone ? George Marshall will move this week from the Keener farm to the Pence ranch near Wheatfield center. George is a good neighbor and wo are very sorry he is going away. Mrs. George Casey is no better. Her nervous condition still continu Jr' Meeting was well attended at Rosebud Sunday night. Nancy Davison is still visiting in Chicago Heights? We have not been bothered with candidates since the snow. But look out for them next week.
