Sheriff Reed was in town Monday on business. Mrs. Schurler Brockus is on the s'ck list. • ' Dr. Vick,-of Rensselaer, was in town Monday on business Mrs. J. J. Fry and children., of RoseTawn, spent Sunday, with Mr. Fry’s parents, Thomas Fry and wife. Elmer Moffitt has moved to towft from the country and has rented Sam Thornton's house, The members of the Ladies’ Aid Society of the M. E. church enjoyed a pleasant sleigh ride'through the country last Saturday afternoon. » Mose Gilmore, Frank Hooper and Chas. Sherman went to Illinois last week where they have secured employment. The 2 year old infant son of Mr. Mrs. Sam Richey has been quite sick the past, two weeks with tonsilitis, but is some better at this Writing. Mr. Henry Wilson and Mrs. Fanny Smyser were married in Chicago one day last week and Have returned to Fair Oaks. A reception and social hop was given in honor of the newly married couple at Bruce Moffitt's last Saturday night and a pleasant time was enjoyed all. They received a number of useful presents. At a late hour the the guests dispersed wishing Mr. and Mrs. Wilson much joy and happin'ess. Mr. Wilson has worked for Mr. Moffitt on his farm for the past ten years. While being taken home from church on Wednesday night of last week one of the front wheels of Can Manderville’s invalids’ conveyance accidentally came off and letting him suddenly to the ground with such force as to throw him out and breaking his left leg; also cutting a. deep gash on the right side of his head and" bruising his right arm quite badly. Dr. Proudly was call, ed to set the broken member and reduce the other fractures and Can is getting along as well as could be expected. His many friends hope for a. speedy recovery.
