Something Rare.
A very rare astronomical feature belongs to this month of February. It will have no new moon. Per contra, January had two and March will have two. This peculiar incident is due to the fact that the last year of the century is not reckoned as a leap year and that even in ordinary leap years the moon is new in February as in any other months, except at long intervale. A moonless month has not occured since February, 1866, and will not. it is said, occur again for a vastly greater space of time.
