Death of Mrs. Henrietta Kentner.

Mrs. Henrietta Kentner, wife of E. W. Kentner, died Wednesday morning. Feb. - 21st. at the Makeever House. She came to the hotel on Feb. 10th and began working in the hotel kitchen. On the Tuesday following she was taken sick wtth pneumonia, and grew worse rapidly. On Friday her husband, who was employed on the Lawler ranch, near Rose Lawp, come to her side. Her disease progressed rapidly, and as above stated, she died at 3 a. m. Wednesday 7, after a sickness of only a few hours more than one week.

Her maiden name was Gaylord and she waff born in Maine, in April 1857, and was therefore nearly 43 years old. She married E. W. Kentner, at Atlantic, iowa Sept. Ist. 1875. They lived in lowa, Dakota and Illinois, and about four years ago came to VValker tp., this oounty; whence, some months ago, they went to the Lawler ranoh, near Rose Lawn in Newton Gp. They have one child, a son, about 19 years old. He went away some years ago and his whereabouts are unknown. She also has a brother and sister in lowa.

Brief funeral services were held at the hotel parlors, Thursday morning, at 8:45, by Rev. H. M. Middleton, and the remains were buried in Weston cemetery.
