Did you get a valentine? Some of the sick are convalescing. Walter Porter and Abe Hardy, of Rensselaer, were in town Sunday. Miss Mary Yunklas, of Surrey, visited friends in town several days this week. . -- Bro. Brady preached to a large congregation at the Christian church S indayafternoon.. • Mr. and Mrs. Nick Dexter, of Goodland visited friends and relatives in town several days this week. Mrs. Joseph Kight and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Catt, of Rensselaer, spent Sunday with friends and relatives in town. Born, Thursday, Feb. Bth to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Holly, at Beaver City, Newton county, a daughter. Mrs. Holly was formerly Miss Bertha Arnold. The meetings at the M. E. church are well attended and proving very successful, 14 converts having already been received.
