The Death Rate Was Large.

A new suit on the calender for February term of the circuit court is that of Everett Halstead .vs William A. Ritenour. A few months ago Mr. Halstead, who lives in Newton tp., it seems sold 150 head of cattle to Ritenour, who lives in Union tp., uear Virgie. The cattle were bought on time on notes secured by chattle mortgage. Since Ritenour bought the cattle 27 head have died, and it is claimed that their great mortality, rate was due* to lack of proper care on Ritenqur’s part, and Mr. Halstead, to secure himself has taken the cattle away, on a writ of replevin, and the suit to determine the ownership and possesion of the cattle is set for the February term. Thai replevin writ was 'served last Friday, and the cattle taken from Ritenour, by Dept Sheriff O, P. Robinson.
