Another Good Entertainment.
' The Asetceam Trio and John- ' son Swiss Bell Concert Co., gave a very enjoyable entertainment at the M. E. church Tuesday evening under the auspices of the Epworth League. A large audience listened to the enchanting mnsic of the guitar, mandolin, banjos and Swiss bells. The overture “Poet and Peasant” was beautifully rendered as well as many other pleasing selections. The reading by Hayes Greenawalt, “An Octpber Day” was very much appreciated.' All present were interested in the sacred selections by the Swiss Bells, such as “I love to tdll the story.” “Onward Christian Soldiers,” etc., Viva Johnson’s contralto solos were very pleasing, she has a beautiful voice clear and sweet and sings with an ease that captivates her listeners. The financial proceeds were $39.00 and the net proceeds for the League sl2. In regard to the very odd name the above mentioned trio of excellent musicians have # chosen to handicap themselves with, it may be explained that Asetceam is not a condensation of the phrase .“A set of screams,” as might be thought, and as might well be applied to lots of fine singers, but it is made up of the first and last letters in each word of the latin. phrase, “Ars est celare artem” 4 true art is to conceal art.
