Had a Hard Experience.
iMedaryville Advertiser: \ Mr. Charles H. Guild while, £n company with his wife, returnling from Rensselaer last Tuesday, met with an accident the like of which he is not very anxious to - experience again. When nearing Mr. Chas. Odom’s place in Gillam the pin that connects the front with the back part of the buggy gave way, thus pulling the buggy asunder and leaving the back part to the ground and throwing both occupants out The unaccustomed poise behind set the horses, like ( the British mules in South Africa, to stampeding and they ran off. \ Mrs. Guild escaped without injury, but Charley alighted on his head, and as he surveyed the surrounding scenery with his feet where his head should have been, with rare presence of mind thought it the proper time to let go of the lines, which he did. The team sped on and was finally oaught near Mr. C. W. Fans’ place. Besides a bump on the head and a slight injury to one of ribs Mr. Guild escaped serious injury. The buggy was considerably damaged.
